2012 Paintball Guns

by Paintball Guns on October 24, 2011

The countdown to 2012 has started. There are some great new paintball guns coming in 2012.

Although paintball marker manufacturers will be improving most aspects of paintball guns (making them lighter, faster, smoother, easier to clean, more resistant to dirt, etc.), we haven’t seen any real break-thru innovations with the possible exception of the 2012 Bob Long G6R (see below). But there is still time. [click to continue…]

Stealth Paintball Tactic: Barrel Tag the Enemy Team

by Paintball Guns on October 2, 2011

This is a great stealth move! Watch the second half of this video: A paintball player (the guy with the camera) sneaks up behind the other team and takes out a number of the enemy players without them ever seeing him! He took them out like a silent ghost.

The enemy was “barrel tagged,” which means they were tagged with the paintball gun rather than shot, eliminating each enemy player from the game.

Paintball on Hit TV Shows

by Paintball Guns on January 7, 2011

The sport of paintball often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. For example, ESPN will feature nearly every sport in the world, but paintball is lucky to get a spot once or twice a year. This hurts the sport because, if we want paintball to grow, more people need to be exposed to it, and television is a great way to raise awareness.

That’s why I get pumped up when I see paintball featured on mainstream television, like these two hit TV shows.

Paintball Gun Artwork Video

by Paintball Guns on October 13, 2009

How did this group of paintball players do this? They created art by shooting their paintball guns simultaneously at a large white space.

They used a paintball gun like an artist’s paintbrush. Is this some kind of trick, or are these paintball players extremely talented? Also amazing is how they coordinated their efforts with each other to build the picture all at once.

The DM10 is the latest in the Dye DM paintball gun series. With the DM10, Dye improved on the DM9 and DM8 in a number of ways (read more under Dye DM10 Highlights below).

The DM10 features new colors, a fuse bolt operating system, improved comfort, and a new outward design.

In this video, Billy Wing of the LA Ironmen explains the new features in the Dye DM10. He starts talking about the DM10 about a minute and a half into the video.

The DM9 and DM8 are great paintball guns, and the DM10 is even better. For years, the Dye DM series was Dye’s most advanced paintball gun. With Dye’s release of the Dye NT, the DM series has been surpassed. Still, the Dye DM10 is a solid gun.

Ollie Lang of the LA Ironmen said that the DM10 [click to continue…]

Empire Invert Mini Paintball Gun Review

by Paintball Guns on April 20, 2009

If you are considering buying a new Invert Mini paintball gun, the marker created by Empire, here is a useful video review.

The Invert Mini is the first paintball gun created by Empire. In short, the Empire Invert Mini is a good marker, but it is a bit quirky, probably because it takes a few years for a paintball manufacturer like Empire to perfect the model.

I love the reviews by Mike from Tech PB. He explains in simple terms what he likes and dislikes about the Invert Mini, how the Invert Mini compares to other paintball guns, and tips for Invert Mini owners.

Here is a video showing the Invert Mini in use.

Art from a Thousand Paintball Guns

by Paintball Guns on January 29, 2009

This video is sick. The guys in the video use over 1100 paintball guns to instantly paint the Mono Lisa. Imagine how much pressure is in those two air tanks—enough pressure to support 1100 paintball guns for one shot each.
